Literal and Inferential Communication

According to Dictionary.com, an affirmation is the assertion that something exists or is true.  Since we aresuggestible to ourselves, sometimes stating what you want as though it is already true can make it more likely you'll experience the results you want.  Try some of these (or create your own!
