The Benefits of Massage

What’s so great about a massage, anyway? Quite a bit, actually.

Some of the benefits of massage include: detoxification, a decrease in stress, and a reduction in muscle pain or tension. Massage can also create improvement in circulation, heightened mental clarity, and increased flexibility. Because the process of massage encourages endorphin release (sometimes referred to as “endogenous morphine”), you often experience a feeling of overall well-being. It can also produce new, healthy cells and can even reduce the appearance of cellulite.

How Do You Talk to Yourself?

According to the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, approximately 25% of the population is suggestible to us at any given time, based on a number of factors. One person in that 25% is you. That’s right, you’re suggestible to yourself.
 
What this means is that what you tell yourself is more likely to be taken in as truth. Therefore, it’s very important to be careful how you talk to yourself.
 
If you know someone, for example, who says something like, “Flu season is coming. Every year I get sick,” chances are you also know someone who gets sick every year.
