Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) can be remarkably transforming, healing, and, sometimes, even seemingly miraculous. You write down what your problem is, you rank it for distress on a scale of one to ten, you write your Set-Up Statement, and you tap until you feel relieved. Most often, you begin to release the problem before you've finished your first round.
But what if you do all of that, and no matter how long you tap on the issue, there's either very little or no change at all? Fortunately, there is something you can do. It may sound weird, but give it a try so you can experience for yourself how well it works.
Go back to your Set-Up Statement, and edit it to acknowledge any subconscious resistance. "Even though I have this problem, and I don't want to let it go, I deeply and completely love, accept, and forgive myself." On a conscious level, you may feel this isn't true. You may be thinking, "But I DO want to change this problem. Of course I want to get rid of the problem!" But, that's in your conscious mind. If that were also true on a subconscious level, you could more easily make the change and release the problem. If your subconscious mind isn't ready to release it, you won't be able to do so using only your conscious mind.
Give this technique a try any time EFT doesn't seem to be working as well as it usually does. You'll be delighted at the results you get.
